| DrumTalk is a four-day celebration of world
drumming traditions coming to Pittsburgh CAPA High School Pittsburgh Oct
16-19, 2008. The festival consists of public concerts and master classes
presented by drumming and dance artists representing music traditions
from Africa, Asia, Brazil, and the Mediterranean. This year’s festival
features international roster of master drummers and dancers including
Four-time Grammy winner Glen Velez and Pittsburgh jazz legend Roger
Humphries. In addition, DrumTalk 08 artists will present three matinee
concerts for over one thousand Pittsburgh Public School students on
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. DrumTalk is for everyone: from drumming enthusiasts to any one interested drumming and dance from Africa, Asia and Brazil. Last year over fifteen hundred people attended DrumTalk events. This year we are expecting an even greater number. As a DrumTalk 08 sponsor your organization will receive a great deal of exposure.
