Dear Friends,Dwight White

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of one of our co-chairmen for the Black Diamond Ball, Mr. Dwight White.  Mr. White and his wife Karen have embraced their African culture and supported the African arts and culture in Pittsburgh.  Mr. and Mrs. White have supported our organization since 1993 with Karen being the individual who provided our African organization a space to be part of the cultural district, as well introducing Afrika Yetu to various funders and friends.

In honor of Mr. White we have decided to proceed with the Black Diamond ball with a few changes.  Because of Mr. White's help in planning this event, we believe that this would be his wish.

In honor of Mr. White we will be paying special tribute to him during the Black Diamond Ball.  We have added some traditional African Dance and Songs to celebrate his life.  Please join us to celebrate his life at the Black Diamond Ball.  You can reserve your seat by clicking here.

If you are unable to attend, but would still like to help, you can donate by clicking here.  Please remember that all donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
